Rules

Conduct and Behaviour
Forest Spirit is a PG-13 rated site, this means keeping violence, swearing and sexual references to a minimum. We are required to stick to this because of proboards ToS. We do expect all members to behave in a civil manner, keeping the roleplay in the roleplay and avoiding OOC drama.

Accounts and Registration
Our site goes by the account per character system, which means that for every character you will create there is a separate account. This is to keep the profile info accurate to the character, and we also ask to have the display name match that of the character. It is fine to create ooc posts with any of your character accounts, or to also have a main/ooc account.

Graphics and such
Any character and/or art theft is not tolerated. If you use any art or graphics not of your own you need to have obtained permission and give credits to the original artist. Avatars are 100x100. Tables should not be larger than 600px. We please ask that you do not stretch the board with posted images.

In Character
Do not forcefully push members to reply to threads and be patient. If replies take over a week then you can talk about it to staff. Any threads that go over a month without a response will be archived. We ask roleplays to be written in third person with a minimum word count of 150. Liquid time, which means letting characters be in multiple threads at once, is allowed. No Godmodding (making your character invincible to everything), Powerplaying (controlling other characters without permission) and Metagaming (using knowledge your character could not possibly have).

Setting and Plot

The spirit of the forest lives within us all, it acts as a guiding light of sorts; enlightening us as to how to treat the world around us. Some of us have let the light dim, ignoring its pleading calls as we destroy our world. Others allow it to shine right through them, glowing from its presence they treat the world around them as it should be treated.

The Courts
The balance of light and dark, you cannot have one without the other. If you always had good days you would never appreciate them. The balance of light and dark are maintained by the light and dark courts.

The light court is controlled by their laws, they are airy and controlled. One would think the members of the light court were always looking down upon you. They are apathetic to all that occurs outside of their court. Not partaking much in the events that occur.

The dark court is frivolous and wild, doing what they wish, whenever they wish. Their laws are flexible and rarely followed.

The balance of the seasons is maintained by the Summer and Winter Courts. Come time to change the seasons they weave their magic throughout the lands to create something new.

The winter court is rigid and inflexible, like the Light court they like their rules yet they are not apathetic to the goings on of the world. They participate and protect. They see themselves as the police of the world, making sure all actions are taken to keep the balance.

The Summer Court is passionate and excitable. They exist in a constant state of frenzy, ready to go to the extreme simply for a bit of fun.

The Land
Forest Spirit takes place in a time after humans have left the world, therefore it is not rare to find the occasional ruin or relic.

Character Creation

Characters do not need to be accepted, you are free to do what you want with a your character so long as it keeps within the rules of the board. We have very few rules and they are pretty simple to stick to so should we find your character is going against the rules you will get one warning and then you will be banned.
